“Records all data received on a serial port to a file on a disk or to an ODBC database. It was originally designed to record telephone traffic data from a corporate phone system (PBX) for later analysis. For this reason, it was designed to be very robust and includes features to notify an administrator if no data is received in a certain amount of time. However, it is generic enough to be useful whenever one-way serial traffic needs to be recorded. Also supports e-mailing log files and multiple instances.”

Advanced Serial Data Logger inputs RS232 data directly into file, Excel, Access, or any Windows application. Advanced Serial Data Logger provides real-time data collection from any serial device or instrument. Send and receive RS232 data across an RS232 port or RS485 port with a hardware converter.

Our software captures serial data, custom tailors it to your needs, then extract bits of data from data packets and transfers the data to any Windows or database – either by sending keystrokes to the application’s window, bypassing the data through a native interface (OPC, DDE ODBC, OLE) or send data to the Internet. It allows you to implement simple and complex automatization tasks shortly without special programming.

After installation, start Advanced Serial Data Logger from the Start Menu. Choose the communication parameters for your serial device. Then define how you want the serial data to be parsed and processed.

This network inventory tool allows you to collect hardware and software inventory data from Windows PCs in a local network into a centralized database. Inventory information can be collected from network PCs remotely in a silent mode. You don’t need to install any client modules on remote PCs.The collected information includes a detailed specification of hardware and software assets used on the network PCs. In particular, the application collects information on the CPU, motherboard, memory, HDD and other hardware components, including their models, characteristics, serial numbers, etc. The inventory information also includes a list of applications installed on every PC. Software inventory information can be aggregated to show how many copies of each application are used. This information can be compared with the number of owned licenses to generate a license compliance report.You can use the application to scan the file system and registry on network PCs. For example, you can search for forbidden content, such as music and video files. The scan results show all files, folders and registry keys on the remote PCs that meet the specified criteria.The application includes a set of preconfigured inventory reports giving you an overview and details of your hardware and software assets. Those reports can be customized to include the company name and logo, and the author’s name. You can also build custom reports using the visual report builder, which is a part of the application.

The collected information can be used to build various inventory reports.License Logging Service provides license tracking on a server or Domain Controller (DC).

It will post a warning in the Application Event Log with Event ID 221, if there are more users accessing the machine than there are licenses.

The licenses can be configured on the server by opening the Control Panel and double clicking the Licensing-applet.

Note if running an Exchange Server this service will conflict with the SBS License control, and will block out users even though enough Exchange Server Licenses. Disable this service to avoid the conflict or install the patch MS KB305138.
