We should stop thinking about the future, because it is already here. A few years ago, we were not able to play music or videos on small devices, which could fit in our pockets. These days, you can even stream music or videos, so you can play them, without having the actual media files on your device. KooRaRoo Media makes this possible, but it also makes it very easy. It organizes your media files automatically and it lets you play them on numerous devices, like smart phones, TVs, Blu-ray players, gaming consoles and others, over a DLNA or a UPnP.

The setup file can be downloaded in a few seconds, with a modern day Internet connection. The installation process is just as fast, but you need to buy a license, if you want to use KooRaRoo Media for more than 30 days. The software works on Windows XP, Vista, Win 7 and Win 8, as well as various Server editions.

KooRaRoo Media works like a server, which you need to activate, by clicking a button. The software will detect other devices immediately. You can play your media files on any detected device, by selecting it from a pop-up menu. Media files are transcoded automatically, so you can play them without any problems, when you stream them to a device. Alternatively, you can transcode the files yourself, on a separate window. You just need to select a device, an output format and a codec.

The program supports numerous media formats and it is quite flexible, when it comes to adding files to its library. You can add individual files, playlists, dynamic or external playlists or URLs. A simpler approach is to add an entire folder or copy your media files to Windows Explorer’s libraries. The loaded media files are organized automatically, in a tree structure’s folders and sub-folders, on the left side of the interface. Music, videos and images are stored in separate folders. Their sub-folders work as filters. You may select different sub-folders, if you want to view all the files of a certain type, or look for a specific file by artist, genre, media format and so on.

Among the aforementioned sub-folders, you will find disk folders, which are colored differently. They are associated, by default, with the Music, Pictures and Videos folders, from Windows Explorer’s library. You can add new disk folders yourself and associate them with any location on the hard drive. If you add new files to one of these folders, on a standard explorer window, you can update the folder on KooRaRoo Media interface. When updating, you can choose to add new files, delete inaccessible ones or update existing files. It is also possible to set the program to update individual disk folders automatically, every few minutes, hours or days.

KooRaRoo Media is a multimedia file player that supports the entire network of DLNA-enabled devices.
