What Does Activation Key Mean?

An activation key is a code to register or activate a software application. It usually consists of letters and numbers with a dotted fundamental movement between sections. Newer models of software products eliminate the activation key as an authorization mechanism. With the development of cloud computing services, many types of software have been purchased online and used online on a subscription basis. It eliminates the need to use activation keys to authenticate users. An activation key is a by-product of the system where the user purchases the code and execution software for the application and downloads all of the code to their computer or device. New methods are rapidly replacing the traditional form of licensing.

Developer’s Description

Abacadup “watches” files for modification changes. When a modification is detected, Abacadup then copies a duplicate file to another media device. Files may be backed up in this way to floppy, hard drive, USB mass storage, a network location. A text document may be set for backup, for instance. Each time the document is saved by way of the file drop-down menu or diskette toolbar icon of its editing application, the file is immediately copied to one or more locations by Abacadup. Entire folders–and their subfolders–may be set for automatic backup. Files of any type and folders containing any type of file may be set for automatic backup. Abacadup is NOT a “scheduled” backup program. Files are backed up as they are updated. Abacadup is a cross windows platform 98-10 that has minimal requirements, and runs in the background.
